Things to Do

Daytona Beach

Daytona Beach offers something for everyone! Whether you're relaxing on the beach or looking for excitement, there’s plenty to keep you busy. You can experience the thrill of the slingshot or enjoy the views from the Ferris wheel on the boardwalk, with mini golf just around the corner. The strip is lined with bars and restaurants, offering great food and a lively atmosphere. One of the unique features of Daytona Beach is that it’s one of the few beaches where you can drive right on the sand. For racing fans, there are museums and tours at the iconic racetrack, along with spots like First Turn, which is filled with nostalgic memorabilia celebrating Daytona's history.

Ponce Inlet

Ponce Inlet is a charming and peaceful spot just 10-15 minutes from the Venue. It's known for its beautiful lighthouse and laid-back atmosphere. The town is steeped in history and is home to Disappearing Island, a unique place that emerges during low tide and is submerged when the tide is high. It’s a fantastic spot to visit with the family, offering both natural beauty and interesting history to explore.

St. Augustine

St. Augustine is one of Ashley and Cardino's favorite nearby spots to visit, and it's only about an hour from Daytona Beach. Founded in 1565, St. Augustine holds the title of the oldest continuously occupied settlement of European and African-American origin in the U.S. The city is absolutely breathtaking! One of the best things to do is stroll down the historic downtown strip, which is lined with great restaurants and unique shops. St. Augustine is also known for its rich military history, with the Castillo de San Marcos, a 450-year-old military fort, being one of the must-see landmarks. It’s a fascinating place to explore while soaking in the charm of the city!

Cape Canaveral

Cape Canaveral, just about 45 minutes from the Venue, is home to NASA and the site of many historic space launches, including those by Elon Musk. It’s a thrilling experience to watch a rocket launch, and often, you can catch a glimpse of it from Daytona Beach itself. For an up-close experience, you can take the short drive to Cape Canaveral and have a front-row seat to these incredible events. It’s definitely something unique to the area!

Orlando

A major draw to Florida is Disney and Universal, and Daytona Beach is conveniently located just about an hour and 20 minutes away from both. The drive is smooth for the most part, though it can get a bit slower once you approach the city. Staying in Daytona offers a great balance—close enough to enjoy the theme parks without the congestion of being right in the heart of it all.
